![]() | Name: Maito Gai (Guy Might) Age: 26 Birthday: 01 January Zodiac: Capricorn Rank: Jounin Village: Leaf Students: Rock Lee, Tenten, Hyuuga Neji Self Proclaimed Rival: Hatake Kakashi Why Gai is awesome: At first Gai appears to be a spontaneous idiot who really has nothing better to do than parade around Konoha and challenge Kakashi to random games, but once you really see him, he's really the friend everyone needs. Gai is a very determined and prideful man. He sets extreme goals for himself and keeps them, no matter how tough or crazy they seem to other people. I really admire his will to complete his goals, as I myself, |
| will do anything that it takes to get the job done...or at least, I try to. The one episode that really reminds me of this, was when he battled Kakashi in rock paper scissors and lost. He then had to walk around the village on only his hands. I'm sure many people thought that he was stupid for setting such a ridiculous goal and high stake, but not me. It showed how serious Gai takes himself and how determined his is to complete a task he sets. I really like this aspect of Gai, and it really makes me like him. I always think that if I could just be more determined, like Gai, then I would | ![]() |
![]() | never have to look at myself and ask "Have I really given everything I can?" It's such a horrible feeling to wonder if you could have done something more. That's why I love Gai's 'give everything you have' attitude. Of course, the opposite of Gai's determination, is his fun and...for lack of a better word...crazy side. Whenever Gai shows up and, well, is himself, I find myself cracking up. I adore his funny poses and silly sayings like "life treating ya good" and his spontaneous body wiggles. It seems like whenever he shows up, I find myself smiling, especially when his teeth |
| sparkle. (He's such a ham!) He just really knows when to act serious, and when it's fine to overreact. He's a serious drama queen when he wants to be, but he always manages to be serious and loyal when he needs to be. It lightens the serious moods, but gets down to business whenever he has to fend off attackers. I also like Gai's sense of challenge. He doesn't use ninjutsu, but rather chooses to use taijutsu instead. This really goes along with my lifestyle, so I like him for that as well. There's really no point in doing something that is going to be too easy for you. You | ![]() |
![]() | have to challenge yourself to get better, and that's just what Gai does. He uses only taijutsu so that he can push and test himself to his limits. He likes to set goals to see how far he can go. He wants to make sure that he is the best that he can be. And then of course, you have Gai's caring side, where he will always protect his team and sworn rival. He is a great role model to Lee and takes him under his wing. He adores Kakashi and harbors a rivalry that does nothing but make himself better. I just love |
| how devoted he is to everyone. He's a very smart guy and is aware of what is going on around him. He always seems to know when people need help, like how he came to Kakashi aid. I really loved the part where Gai revealed how to defeat Itachi's sharingan by only looking at his feet and predicting his movement. It's just another reason why you have to love Gai. Who doesn't love a man with brains? I suppose there's a lot of me that just adores Gai because of who he is. Honestly, and I hope I don't sound too stupid, I really idolize him for his strength, his fun outlook on life, | ![]() |

After all, who can love someone who looks so dorky if he doesn't have the personality and brains to make up for it? lol, of course you got to love him. I can't picture Gai without his bowl-cut hair and tight green spandex. He looks exactly how he is: fun, tough, and totally crazy. |
